Richard Kazandzhidi is a versatile and accomplished pianist and music producer, with extensive training in Los Angeles and New York City. Renowned for his ability to bridge the worlds of classical and contemporary music, Richard captivates audiences and students alike with his dynamic performances and innovative teaching methods.
His signature improvisation seminars and masterclasses inspire students worldwide to explore the art of spontaneous music creation, blending technical precision with creative expression. Richard's dedication to his craft extends beyond the piano. He studied Music Production at the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, under the guidance of renowned French music producer Arthur Ponchon (Art Bleek). This training honed his ability to seamlessly integrate classical sensibilities with cutting-edge production techniques, enriching both his own music and his teaching repertoire. Steinway artist David Osborne describes Richard as a “...fine pianist. He not only plays superb classical piano with wonderful technique but also jazz and pop standards impeccably. Audiences around the world love him as he speaks beautifully to guests and fans.”
Under his electronic project AR KAY, Richard released his debut album 'Manusia' through a Brazilian label, amassing millions of streams and earning regular airplay on German radio stations. His music has become a staple in playlists across Norway, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Since then, Richard has been featured on labels in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, further solidifying his presence in the global music scene. Richard’s musical journey began at a young age, winning his first competition at Princeton University. He went on to study at the Manhattan School of Music, training under distinguished mentors such as Eteri Andjaparidze, Golda Tatz, and Alexandre Moutouzkine. His performances have graced prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
In recent seasons, Richard has appeared in Switzerland, Norway, and Germany, showcasing his exceptional talent on international stages. Currently, Richard holds a residency at The Park Club in Orange County, where he continues to mesmerize audiences with his artistry.
