ABOUT OC MUSIC & DANCE
Orange County Music & Dance (OCMD) is a nonprofit performing arts school in Irvine, California, dedicated to nurturing, inspiring, and empowering students through exceptional music and dance education.
OCMD offers programs for students at every stage of their artistic journey, from early childhood through advanced pre-professional training. Programs include private instruction, group classes, ensembles, performance opportunities, Discovery programs, and Pre-Conservatory and Conservatory training in music, dance, and musical theatre. OCMD also offers a growing selection of music, dance, and fitness programs for adults.
At the heart of OCMD is an accomplished faculty of professional artists and educators who provide students with high-quality instruction in an encouraging environment that supports artistic growth, confidence, creativity, and excellence.
We believe access to the performing arts can have a lasting impact on individuals and communities. Financial assistance helps make high-quality arts education accessible to families, while community initiatives and partnerships extend OCMD's impact throughout Orange County.

OCMD is a Steinway Select School
OCMD is proudly one of only a small handful of music schools designated in Orange County. We have 15 Steinway or Steinway-designed pianos, including a 9-ft Concert Grand Model D piano in our Black Box Theater, plus four additional grand pianos in various teaching studios.
