PROGRAM
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Through OCMD’s financial assistance endowment, built by the generous support of our donors, we offer financial assistance for in-person music private lessons.
Assistance is awarded for a percentage of the lesson tuition for 2024-2025 (September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025). If funds are no longer available for the current year, successful applicants will be added to the financial assistance waitlist.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Download the application above and complete all fields.
2. Include your 2023 Federal Income Tax Return Form 1040 (EZ).
3. Submit the application and tax forms to Lindsay Peckham at lindsay@ocmusicdance.org by July 22, 2024 for priority consideration.
Applicants will be notified of the status of their application by email in mid-August. If accepted, an Award Acceptance Letter will be attached outlining the award amount and program expectations.

Students are expected to attend lessons and classes prepared, consistently practice at home, and demonstrate improvement in instrument technique, proficiency, and level of repertoire performed.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Students must reapply for financial assistance for each academic year. Receipt of an award in previous years does not guarantee automatic renewal for future years. OCMD makes every effort to provide appropriate financial assistance to applicants, but resources are limited and not all eligible students will receive or continue to receive assistance.
OCMD may request additional documentation to better understand an applicant's current financial status. Any information collected will be kept confidential and used for no other purpose. Further information from the applicant will be requested via email.
OCMD reserves the right to reassess and change the financial assistance program and financial assistance award amounts at any time. Should your financial assistance be affected, you will be notified prior to the next billing cycle.
If you have any questions, please email OCMD Director of Student Accounts and Relations, Lindsay Peckham, at lindsay@ocmusicdance.org.
