Susanna Sun is a trumpet performer and educator based in Orange County, California. She received her BM in Trumpet Performance at California State University, Fullerton under the tutelage of Kye Palmer and Sycil Mathai.

While at CSUF, she was awarded First Place in the 2023 Concerto/Aria Competition for Brass and Percussion. She performed regularly with the University Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra and Opera.

Outside of the University, Susanna is an active freelancer, performing in pit orchestras for musical theatre productions and with ensembles such as Cuesta Concord Chorus .

As an educator, Susanna serves as the trumpet instructor at Oxford Academy and South Junior High School, where she is passionate about developing young brass musicians.
