Joshua Lopez is a classical saxophonist and educator based in Southern California. With multiple years of experience as the assistant band director of Mark Keppel High School, he was able to help direct the Alhambra Unified School District Marching Bands participation in the 2020 Tournament of Roses Parade. On his final year at California State University, Fullerton, Lopez began to serve as the saxophone instructor at Ball Junior High School and Loara High School.

After receiving a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance, Lopez is continuing his teaching career while pursuing a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance. With more than 7 years of experience, Lopez is focusing on making the musical process of learning an instrument fun and engaging for all age ranges while simultaneously focusing on the growth of the individual. “Service through music” is his guiding teaching principle as he views every student as an individual who will impact their greater community.
