Chang “Eddie” Yue received his Master’s Degree from Cal State Fullerton. He was the graduate assistant of Professor Bongshin Ko and served as the university’s principal cellist for the American premiere of Tarik O’ Regan’s The Ecstasies Above at Carnegie Hall. As a native of Las Vegas, he made his solo debut with the UNLV chamber orchestra playing the Haydn D major concerto under the baton of Alexander Treger. While living there, he also served as a substitute cellist for Steven Wynn’s ShowStopper show and performed with Mariah Carey for the Billboard Music Awards. His most influential teachers are Bongshin Ko, Andrew Smith, and Daniel Gaisford.

Chang has enjoyed a diverse musical career. In 2019, he was invited to perform at the Nixon Library in celebration of the 40th anniversary of U.S.-China diplomatic relations. In the summer of 2021, Chang was invited to perform at the Casper Mountain Music Festival, which brought orchestral and chamber music to unexpected venues throughout Casper, Wyoming. That same year, he participated in a live collaboration with BalletX at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, featuring Schubert’s Quintet.

Currently, Chang is on the cello faculty at OC Music & Dance and serves as Assistant Director of Music Ministry at Faith Lutheran Church in Anaheim.
