Sydney Robinson

DANCE

Sydney Robinson (she/her) is a dancer and choreographer based in Orange, California. She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Long Beach receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.

With 18 years of dance experience, she has trained in classical ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz and Umfundalai under the mentorship of Jennifer Forcucci-Marzluf, Rachel Chang, Danzel Thompson-Stout, Andrew Vaca, Lorin Johnson, and Rebecca Lemme. While at CSULB, Sydney has performed in choreographic processes with faculty members Andrew Vaca and Lorin Johnson as well as multiple student-choreographed works.

Sydney is interested in both performing and choreographing movement that blends the technical elements of ballet with contemporary and modern while using dance as a tool for evocative storytelling. In her college career, she had the opportunity to co-choreograph a contemporary piece titled Lamentos with Julisa Carbajal which premiered in the 2025 Spring Contemporary Concert at CSULB.

Sydney’s passion for movement extends into teaching dance to future generations. This past July she had the pleasure of being an instructor/choreographer at Huntington Beach High School in their performing arts two week summer program. Sydney is also the recipient of the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld COTA Endowed Scholarship & Department of Dance Scholarship which she recently put towards beginning her journey in becoming a certified Pilates instructor. Sydney is also a current cast member at the Disneyland Resort where she performs in stage shows and parades as different costumed characters.
