Dr. Sergei Kuznestov / Houston
Faculty at the Lonestar College Montgomery in Houston, TX where he shapes aspiring musicians through teaching and mentorship.
Dr. Sergei Kuznetsov is a globally renowned concert pianist and educator with an illustrious career marked by exceptional performances and competition successes. Born in Russia, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the prestigious Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, studying under Mikhail Voskressensky. He later pursued advanced studies in the United States, earning a Doctorate of Music from the University of Southern California, as well as Artist Diplomas from Texas Christian University and Southern Methodist University. Kuznetsov’s competitive achievements include prizes at the China International Piano Competition (Beijing, 2004), Hilton Head International Piano Competition (USA, 2003), Caltanissetta International Competition (Italy, 1999), and Young Texas Artist Competition (Conroe, TX, 2005). His victory at the China International Piano Competition led to frequent performances in China, including soloist engagements with the Beijing Symphony, Shenzhen Symphony, and Taipei Symphony orchestras, as well as studio recordings for CCTV’s young artist program in Shenzhen. Kuznetsov has toured extensively across countries such as Italy, France, the USA, Canada, China, Israel, Mexico, Costa Rica, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, and Spain. As a sought-after guest artist, he has performed at festivals like the Costa Rica Piano Festival and Triumph Music Festival in Philadelphia. Since 2019, he has served as General Producer of the Glissando Piano Festival in San Diego, California, fostering artistic excellence and collaboration. A dedicated educator, Kuznetsov has mentored students who have won national and international awards, and he has been involved in educational initiatives such as the “Musical Awakenings” series with the Van Cliburn Foundation in Fort Worth, TX. His passion for teaching is driven by a commitment to inspire young pianists, building professional networks and opportunities for emerging talents to connect with global audiences. -
Dr. Ruby Wang / Pasadena
Faculty at California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley, Pasadena Conservatory of Music, and Citrus College, where she teaches, performs, and serves as an adjudicator and clinician.
Dr. Ruby Wang is an award-winning pianist celebrated for her passionate, authoritative, and expressive performances as a solo recitalist, collaborative artist, lecturer, teacher, and adjudicator. She began her musical journey at age four and made her solo debut at eight in Mississauga, Canada, quickly earning top prizes in competitions across Ontario and internationally. Her competitive highlights include being named Outstanding Performing Recitalist of Impressionist Work at the 2014 Atlanta Music Teachers Association Festival-Competition, first prize at the 2009-10 South Carolina Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Competition, and a debut with the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra under Uri Segal at MusicFest Perugia in Italy (2013). She has also performed at the 2010 Burgos International Music Festival and Competition in Spain, showcasing her versatility in solo and chamber settings across the United States, Canada, Taiwan, Spain, and Italy. Wang holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance with a music theory minor from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Music from Brigham Young University, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Utah. She also earned graduate certificates in piano and theory from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Canada and a baccalaureate degree in public relations. Her teachers include Yen-Qiao Wong, Nancy (Chang-Ping Zhu) Hou, Paul Pollei, Bonnie Gritton, Irene Peery-Fox, Eugene Watanabe, Judit Gabos, and Marina Lomazov. As an educator, Wang’s students have achieved success in local and state festivals in Utah, South Carolina, and California. She is actively involved in professional organizations, including the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT), and Southwestern Youth Music Festival (SYMF), and served as the 2017-19 Southern California Festival Chair for CAPMT. Jason Stoll / Los Angeles
Piano instructor and lecturer at California State University, Northridge, where he inspires the next generation of musicians, and active freelance pianist, masterclass presenter, and adjudicator throughout the Los Angeles area.
Southern California pianist Jason Stoll is a versatile artist whose multifaceted career spans roles as a concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, educator, and collaborative performer. He is celebrated for delivering the U.S. premiere of Benjamin Britten’s Rondo Concertante for piano and strings, a significant milestone in his career. Stoll has performed extensively as a soloist and in chamber settings across California, the United States, and internationally, with orchestral engagements including the Santa Monica Symphony, Loyola Law School Symphony, MUSE/IQUE Orchestra, North Charleston Pops, Midland-Odessa Symphony, Victoria Symphony, Miami Music Festival Orchestra, Westlake Village Symphony, California State University, Northridge Symphony, Antelope Valley Symphony, York Symphony Orchestra, and Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra. His competitive achievements include reaching the semi-finals of the 2015 Dublin International Piano Competition and the finals of the 2013 American Paderewski Piano Competition. As a dedicated chamber musician, Stoll is a member of the innovative ACE Trio (flute, clarinet, and piano) and performs in various ensembles, including duos, trios, and quartets with unique instrumentation. He is also part of the genre-blending trio Take 3, alongside violinist Lindsay Deutsch and cellist Mikala Schmitz, performing eclectic repertoire from the Beatles and Game of Thrones to Pirates of the Caribbean and contemporary pop mashups. Stoll holds degrees from California State University, Northridge, The Juilliard School, and the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, studying under renowned teachers such as John Perry, David Louie, Jerome Lowenthal, Matti Raekallio, Dmitry Rachmanov, and John Roscigno. He has participated in masterclasses with luminaries like Leon Fleisher, Emmanuel Ax, Stephen Hough, and Menahem Pressler, and attended prestigious summer programs such as the Miami Music Festival, Pianofest in the Hamptons, Aspen Music Festival, and Adamant Music School.
