From July 15th to 22nd, OCMD will send a delegation of 10 teachers and students to Xiamen, China, to participate in the "Xiamen Youth Ambassador Exchange Activity" jointly organized with Xiamen Music School. As a sister school of OCMD, Xiamen Music School has maintained a deep cooperative relationship with OCMD, and every exchange is full of warmth and harvest.

The T.O.P. (Talent, Opportunity, Performance) Awards Summer Festival offers unparalleled xperience combining intensive training, competition, and performance opportunities designed to nurture and showcase emerging talent.
Dancers aged 8 to 12 and 13 and up who are passionate about advancing their skills, gaining performance experience, and connecting with like-minded peers.

The Orange County Music and DanceSteinway Piano Competition is dedicated to fostering the musical development of young pianists through an enriching annual event held at the OC Music and Dance in Irvine, California. The competition offers participants the chance to connect with fellow dedicated musicians, perform for world-renowned judges and receive constructive feedback.
Date: October 25–26, 2025
Location: OC Music and Dance.
Award ceremony and final prize winner performance: October 26, hosted by The Park Club at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts.

Our cello workshop is an opportunity for cellists to learn together with their peers. The workshop includes group classes and ensembles. Students will get to showcase their efforts in an afternoon mini concert.

OCMD's Brass Ensemble was honored to present the National Anthem with our partners, the Lyric Opera of OC, and musicians from Pacific Symphony.

Thanks to all our students, family and friends for participating in our Lunar New Year Festival. A big thank you to our entertainers, staff and student volunteers for their hard work to make the event a success. We look forward to a great year together!!

From July 23-30, the city of Xiamen hosted "US Youth ambassadors in Xiamen 2024." Over the week, 25 participants, including 8 OCMD students, explored Xiamen's natural ecology, technology, traditional dishes, and rich historical culture. The OCMD students performed for their hosts at the Xiamen Music School, further enriching the cultural exchange between the two countries.
