RECORDING SERVICES
OCMD provides a variety of recording services for students of all ages and abilities.
Our classically trained engineer has more than 20 years of experience working with student recordings and has successfully produced more than 1000 audition recordings for submission to premier colleges, universities and competitions.
Our recital hall, equipped with a 9-foot Steinway Concert Grand Piano, ETC lighting system and a 20-foot LED screen, provides an ideal solution for a variety of audio/video audition and competition recordings at every level.
Video Audition Recordings
Many colleges, competitions and summer festivals require students to submit a video audition recording. Record in our recital hall, on a Steinway Concert 9-ft Grand Piano, available to both pianists and accompanist.
Two-Hour Recording Package: $345 for up to 2 hours of studio time. Includes up to four MP4 video files of your recordings. Musicians with more than 2-4 repertoire selections should plan on booking multiple sessions.
One-Hour Recording Package: $200 for up to an hour of studio time. Includes up to two MP4 video files of your recordings. Recommended for musicians recording 1-2 shorter pieces or movements.
Additional MP4 files are available for $20 each.
Our standard file delivery turnaround is approximately one week from the date you confirm your selected takes. Additional fees apply for rush service.
Recording Studio Hours
The OCMD recording service is open by reservation on weekend afternoons and evenings, as well as select weeknights. Please submit a booking request to inquire about specific dates.
Recital Recordings
OCMD provides a Recital Recording + Rental Combo Package specifically designed for private studio recitals as an affordable solution in a premier space. Our recital hall is equipped with 9-foot Steinway Concert Grand Piano available to both solo pianists and accompanist.
Three-hour Recital Recording Package: $550 for up to 3 hours in the Recital Hall. Package Includes:
Use of Recital Hall and Backstage
OCMD tech staff onsite for standard stage lights and LED wall display
OCMD front-of-house support
Use of Steinway 9-ft Concert Grand Piano
Audio + single-camera video recording services
Use of the Recital Hall should include all set-up, rehearsal, concert, and tear-down time.
Our upstairs Café space is also available to rent for a post-concert reception: $100/hour
Audio & Video Projects
Our facilities are equipped to provide audio and video recordings for a variety of artistic projects. Our recital hall can be converted into a 1000 square foot Black Box/Sound Stage complete with an ETC lighting system and a 22-foot LED wall. OMCD also has an additional recording studio onsite for multi-track audio projects. Our production team is experienced with multi-camera/multi take audio and video editing as well as computer graphic/animation and overlays.
