OC Music & Dance offers adults a variety of opportunities to learn to play an instrument and/or perform. Our program offerings for musicians over the age of 18 include private lessons, semi-private lessons with family or friends, group classes, and jam sessions! Read more about each option below and fill out the form to get started!
Once submitted, OCMD Program Coordinator, Maranda Li, will reach out and work with you to create a personalized learning package based on your interests and experience. All programming will be held on-site at OCMD.
Program Pathways
1) Instrument Private Lessons:
8 Week Sessions | Tuition: $100/hr | 30, 45, or 60 min. lessons

Open to all instruments and skill levels, and recommended for those with prior music experience! Maybe you learned violin as a kid and want to pick it up again? Or perhaps you want to improve your singing? Enroll in 8-week sessions with flexible scheduling determined by you and your instructor. Your instructor will recommend a lesson duration (30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes) based on your experience and skill level, and will tailor the content of the lessons to your individual progression.
Veterans and spouses or widows/widowers of veterans may qualify for discounted tuition.
2) Instrument Semi-Private Lessons:
8 Week Sessions | Tuition: $100/hr split between students | 30 min for 2 students or 45 min for 3 students

Enroll in semi-private lessons together with up to two friends or family members and split the tuition! Open to all instruments and skill levels. Your instructor will recommend a lesson duration based on the number and experience level of the students. The content of the lessons is split between group instruction and mini-lessons for each student while the other(s) observe and take notes. Perfect for couples, family members, or friends who want to share their musical journey with one another.
Veterans, spouses, widows/widowers, and children (ages 16+) of veterans may qualify for discounted tuition.
3) Instrument Group Classes:
8 Week Sessions, 45 min. weekly | Tuition: $168 per 8-week session

New to music, or want to try a completely different instrument? Group classes offer beginning-level instruction in select instruments, including piano, guitar, bass guitar, and voice. Grab 3 other friends and sign up together. If you are interested in group classes for other instruments not listed, please contact OCMD Program Coordinator Maranda Li at maranda@ocmusicdance.org.
