Marek Johnson
Early Childhood
Marek Johnson is an early childhood music educator, curriculum developer, and arts education consultant with more than 25 years of experience creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children and their families. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the Juilliard School, a Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy and Clinical Art from Loyola Marymount University, and also studied Theatre Arts at UCLA. Marek is certified in both Orff Schulwerk and Music Together methodologies, bringing a unique blend of music, movement, storytelling, dramatic play, and social-emotional learning to her teaching.
As founder of Music by Marek, she has built and led successful early childhood music programs serving thousands of children and families throughout Southern California. Her work includes curriculum development, teacher training, family engagement initiatives, and program consulting for schools, preschools, and arts organizations. She previously served as a music teacher and curriculum developer at St. Margaret's Episcopal School and as a teaching artist with Laguna Playhouse, where she created immersive arts experiences for young learners.
