Ron Kobayashi is an acclaimed jazz pianist, composer, and educator whose career spans more than three decades of performance and arts education. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State Fullerton and has dedicated over 35 years to teaching, currently serving on the faculty of the Orange County School of the Arts and Vanguard University while maintaining a private studio. A respected clinician and lecturer, he has presented at high school jazz festivals and arts institutions throughout Orange County.

Professionally, Kobayashi leads The Ron Kobayashi Trio, which has performed for more than 30 years at major festivals, concert halls, and premier venues including 54 Below in New York City and the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The trio has recorded six CDs and received international airplay, with original compositions featured in film. Ron has performed with Mel Torme, Kenny Burrell, Margaret Whiting, Peter White and Tom Scott. He served for five years as Music Director of the Hollywood Diversity Awards. A recipient of multiple honors, he has been recognized for both artistic excellence and his impact as a role model within the music community.
