Roger Przytulski is a composer, educator, and performer with an extensive background in both academic and professional music settings. He holds a Master of Music in Composition from the University of Southern California, where he graduated with distinction, and a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition from California State University, Long Beach, graduating cum laude with distinction in music and President’s Honors. He also earned an Associate of Arts from Palomar College with distinction in music and Dean’s Honors.
With over three decades of teaching and performance experience, Roger currently serves on the faculty at Long Beach City College, where he teaches musicianship, theory, composition, and directs ensembles. He is also the Director and Conductor of the Long Beach City College Symphony Orchestra. His previous roles include faculty positions at the Orange County School for the Arts and collaborations with leading ensembles such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and American Composers Orchestra.
As a composer, his works have been performed internationally across the United States and Europe, with commissions from orchestras and chamber ensembles. A versatile performer, he has appeared as a saxophonist and clarinetist in a wide range of classical, jazz, and contemporary settings.
