Pick up a printed challenge calendar packet at OCMD, or download/print your own copy by clicking the button below. There is one challenge calendar for every 20 days, for a total of five calendars.

PARENTS & GUARDIANS: Initial the calendar for each day your student practices at home to verify their efforts. Help your students keep their calendars in a safe place.

STUDENTS: Practice every day, and remind your parents or guardians to sign! Bring your challenge calendar with you to your lesson each week so your teacher can check your progress too.

The challenge calendar has 5 pages, one page for every 20 days. As the calendar on each page runs out, tear off the page and turn it in to OCMD to earn progress towards your 20-day prizes. Prizes can only be claimed during special prize redemption weeks (see below)!

Prize Redemption 1 for Challenge Calendar 1 (2/20-3/11): If you practiced all 20 days from 2/20 to 3/11, pick up your prize between March 12-18! If you missed even one day, you'll have to wait for the next prize redemption!

Prize Redemption 2 for Challenge Calendar 2 (3/12-3/31): Students who practiced 20+ days or all 40 days since the start of the challenge can pick up their prizes between April 10-15!

Prize Redemption 3 for Challenge Calendar 3 (4/1-4/20): Remember, OCMD Spring Break (April 3-9) counts towards the challenge! Students who practice 20+ days, 40+ days, or all 60 days can pick up their prizes between April 24-29!

Prize Redemption 4 for Challenge Calendar 4 (4/21-5/10): Still going strong? Students who practice 20+ days, 40+ days, 60+ days, or all 80 days can pick up their prizes between May 15-20!

Prize Redemption 5 for Challenge Calendar 5 (5/11-5/30): The final stretch! Students who practice 20+ days, 40+ days, 60+ days, 80+ days, or all 100 days can pick up their final prizes between June 5-10!

Q. I can't practice on some days because I can't bring my instrument with me. How can I keep my streak in the challenge? 

A. Talk to your teacher about what they will count as practice when you don't have your instrument. If you can agree on an alternative exercise, practicing that exercise will count towards the 100-day practice challenge!

Q. What is the grand prize for completing all 100 days of practice?

A. We know you're excited, but the grand prize will be announced later! Keep practicing every day in the meantime!

Q. Can I still earn the 20-day prizes even if I don't practice 20 days in a row?

A. Yes. The goal of the challenge is to practice 100 days in a row (or as many days in a row as you can), but students can still earn prizes for their cumulative total. 

Q. What about my regular practice log?

A. You and your teacher should still be recording your practice tasks on your practice log; however, you won't be penalized during the 100-day practice challenge if you forget to fill it out or bring it.
