Steinway Summer Intensive Master Instructors

Steinway Piano Summer Intensive students will have the opportunity to expand their repertoire, sharpen their technique, and develop their performance skills by learning from some of the world’s most accomplished pianists. Bidini is one of today’s most important pianists and  faculty member at The Colburn School. His outstanding piano playing brought him to his London debut with the London Symphony Orchestra under Michael Tilson Thomas. He performed at the United Nation as a soloist of the BBC Wales and had his North American debut with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.


Ms. Kim has received numerous awards including prizes at the 2008 Hong Kong International Piano Competition, DAAD Prize, Steinway and Sons Advancement Award Competition, and Toronto International Piano Competition. She has performed and toured with numerous orchestras such as the Russian State Philharmonic, Konzerthaus Orchester, and Budapest Symphony Orchestras, and more. In fall 2018, Ms. Kim began teaching at pre-college Music Academy divisions of the Colburn School.


Mr. Cheli has studied at the Manhattan School of Music, Yale University and the Colburn School. Andre-Michel Schub, Peter Frankl, Fabio Bidini, Zena Ilyashov, and Sylvia Rosenberg are individuals who have been especially influential on his development as an artist. Dominic Cheli’s playing has been described as “spontaneous yet perfect, the best of how a young person can play.” (Symphony Magazine).


Dr. Park is a renowned Korean-American solo pianist, chamber musician, and pedagogue. He is First Prize winner of Joanna Hodges International Piano Competition. Dr. Dr. Park has been invited to give masterclasses and lectures in Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the U.S. Currently, Dr. Park serves as an assistant professor at Azusa Pacific University.


Pianist Ning An, is a rare pianist who has been hailed as a musician who “combines a flawless technique and mastery of the instrument with an expressive power that is fueled by profound and insightful understanding (New York Concert Review).” Mr. An currently serves as Artist Teacher on the faculty of California State University Fullerton.
